German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County (GRSOC)

German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County (GSROC) is a non-profit 501(c)3 charity organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing purebred German Shepherd Dogs that have no where else to turn.

Our mission is to rescue and re-home as many GSD's as we possibly can each year, growing beyond our current geographic area.

To accommodate our rescued dogs that have been injured and need rehabilitation, we are beginning to create a specialized rehabilitation center for physical therapy or modified exercise.

We are also driven to establish a sanctuary in Southern California, where some of our elderly dogs can spend the rest of their lives.  It is particularly difficult to get an elderly dog adopted, and it is unfair to those dogs to have them be in a kennel for the last few years of their lives.

Greyhound Pets of America

This chapter of Greyhound Pets of America was founded in 1995 and in 2011 changed our name to FastFriends Greyhound Adoption. Our goal is  to service the Southern California Area and find homes for the greyhounds that are the byproducts of the dog racing industry. This organization is dedicated to rescuing greyhounds that no longer qualify to race and finding them responsible homes as pets. It is also dedicated to improving the welfare of those greyhounds that are still racing. The dogs taken first from the track are those in immediate danger, the sick and injured ones. We provide the best in medical care for all the greyhounds and none are ever put down. Many of these greyhounds go on to become therapy dogs and enhance the lives of others .

Second Chance Pet Adoptions

Founded in 2001, Second Chance Pet Adoptions is a non-profit 501(c)(3) No-Kill animal rescue dedicated to the memory of all animals who were caged, hunted, beaten, tortured, starved, chained, exploited, or simply ignored.  Our mission is to find a permanent, loving home for each cat and kitten, and to reduce the overpopulation of cats in the community, through an aggressive trap-neuter-release program.  Second Chance Pet Adoptions educates the public as to the proper care and needs of their pets, provides information on existing animal cruelty and abandonment laws, and informs the public of the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. We also provide a service to the community by providing pet adoptions designed to benefit both the animal and the adopting party. We ensure the animals under our protection are taken care of in the best way possible.  Our adoption process includes a veterinary health check for the animal and screening of the prospective owner, to help ensure that the pet and its new owner will be compatible. If for any reason they are not compatible, we take back the pet, who will again be offered for adoption.
