Our mission is to rescue and re-home as many GSD's as we possibly can each year, growing beyond our current geographic area.

To accommodate our rescued dogs that have been injured and need rehabilitation, we are beginning to create a specialized rehabilitation center for physical therapy or modified exercise.

We are also driven to establish a sanctuary in Southern California, where some of our elderly dogs can spend the rest of their lives.  It is particularly difficult to get an elderly dog adopted, and it is unfair to those dogs to have them be in a kennel for the last few years of their lives.

Hills For Everyone

Hills For Everyone's mission is "to protect, preserve and restore the environmental resources and natural environs of the Puente-Chino Hills and surrounding areas for the enjoyment of current and succeeding generations..." Four counties come together in these hills. Regional efforts to save the area have been underway since 1977. Conservationists have been remarkably successful. In the western part of the Corridor, 4,000 acres are protected above Whittier while 14,000 acres are set aside in the east as Chino Hills State Park. The entire hillside system is now connected to the Cleveland National Forest at Coal Canyon along the 91 freeway in Anaheim. The challenge remains. Threats to the integrity of the State Park, its borders in Brea, Yorba Linda, and Chino Hills, and the Wildlife Corridor in general continue to emerge. We also remain vigilant in working to secure the “Missing Middle” of the Wildlife Corridor, the undeveloped hills along the 57 freeway north of Brea. These lands are owned by Aera Energy, a subsidiary of Shell-ExxonMobil and the City of Industry.

LITTLE RED DOG INC

Dogs are man’s best friend, but it is not always the other way around. The Little Red Dog, Inc. was founded in memory of a little red American Pit Bull Terrier who did not make it. If you are familiar with the Michael Vick dog fighting case chronicled in the book The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick’s Dogs and their Tale of Rescue and Redemption, The Little Red Dog was brutally beaten to death because she didn't want to fight. The Little Red Dog works for all dogs, red, blue, tan, white, brown, black and all colors and breeds in between. Pitbull type dogs are our focus. Only one in 867 pitbulls will make it out of the shelter alive. Our primary goal is to get the dogs into loving homes. Our hope is that someday all of them will have a home and be loved, but most of all; we will never forget the Little Red Dog and many other who did not survive. We are on a mission from Dog!

Plant With Purpose is breaking the vicious cycle of poverty and deforestation by transforming it into a victorious cycle of environmental restoration, economic empowerment, and spiritual renewal.

Founded in 1984, Plant With Purpose is a faith-based international nonprofit organization that transforms lives in rural areas around the world where poverty and environmental degradation intersect. Of the poorest people in the world—those scraping by on less than $1.25 a day—70% live in rural areas. The majority struggle just to grow enough food to feed their families, let alone send their children to school or provide health care.

Plant With Purpose equips impoverished farming families to change their circumstances, provide for their children, and live with God-given hope and dignity. We do this through sustainable agriculture training, land restoration, savings-led micro-finance, and local leadership development.
